8 Week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course
(MBSR) for Parents of Teenagers
Teenagers are engaging, interesting and wonderful. Nevertheless, research shows
that parents often find this the most stressful time of their lives. There are many
reasons for this which I have explored in my postgraduate research.
I am teaching this mindfulness course with a particular emphasis on the stresses of
parenting a teenager. As well as learning mindfulness techniques participants will
be given additional information from this research, including the neurological
changes in the teenage brain and how this impacts behavior, current issues around
adolescent mental health and what can promote a happier parenting relationship
with your teenager. This course will give you tools and information that will make
this time of life less stressful and more enjoyable. It will also improve your ability to
connect and communicate with your teenager.
The whole course (9 sessions plus a full retreat day) is £240. £180 concessionary
rate. I am an experienced mindfulness teacher, listed on the UK Network. If you
